In addition to being equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and surgical towers, a real-time high-resolution and quality radiological imaging system (C-arm) and having access to the centralized PACS diagnostic imaging system, our current operating rooms were designed and built under international regulations, with the main objective of providing a safe and effective environment for the patient, medical and care staff, so that the surgery is performed in optimal conditions.

Walls, ceilings and floors are covered with smooth, non-porous materials that allow easy cleaning and prevent the accumulation of particles and the proliferation of bacteria.

Complying with the ASHRAE/ASHE standard, the air conditioning system is exclusive for the surgical area, it is equipped with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresting) filters, it carries out continuous air changes per hour, several of which are carried out with fresh air, it reduces contamination transported, maintains temperature between 20 °C and 24 °C and humidity levels between 20% and 60%.

The lighting system is made up of surgical lamps with cutting-edge Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, which provide the medical and care team with a luminance of more than 40,000 LUX (complying with the IEC standard) that does not generate shadows in the treatment area. contact or high temperatures despite its high power, reduce the distortion of the tones of the patient's body tissues and prevent the body fluids from drying out.

The medical gas supply is independent and directly connected to the gas plant, which has the capacity to supply Oxygen (O2), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Medical Air (O2-N2), vacuum (considered as medical gas) and others. The liquid oxygen bank guarantees an adequate operational volume to carry out continuous surgical interventions without interruptions.

The surgical area has a system that guarantees uninterrupted electricity service through the latest generation digital EATON UPS and three supporting Caterpillar electric generators, controlled by a digital PLC system.

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Our intensive care unit is multipurpose, it functions as a closed unit under the medical responsibility of its staff, who work with constant access to the institution's multidisciplinary staff and in close contact with the specialists and general practitioners of the patients admitted to the unit. same.

With a total of 6 beds, it is equipped with new and state-of-the-art equipment necessary for monitoring and supporting threatened or insufficient vital functions in critically ill patients.

It has an independent medical gas supply and direct connection to the gas station, which has the capacity to supply Oxygen (O2), Nitrous Oxide (N2O), Medical Air (O2-N2), vacuum (considered as medical gas) and others. The liquid oxygen bank guarantees an operational volume, continuous and without interruptions.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

The adult emergency service at Clínica Abreu is characterized by providing high-quality care. Patients who come to it are treated by specialized emergency physicians, who work with constant access to the institution's multidisciplinary staff and in close contact with specialists and general practitioners who refer patients to this service.

The emergency service has 24-hour access, 365 days a year, to tomography, X-ray, sonography and magnetic resonance services, available within the same institution, facilitating a complete diagnosis and timely patient care.

It is equipped with new and state-of-the-art equipment necessary for the approach, monitoring and support of the patient's vital functions that are threatened.

It works under the Manchester Triage system that allows patients to be treated according to their reason for consultation and pathology and classify it according to the priority it deserves.

The service guarantees that within the first 6 hours the patient is channeled, with all his studies carried out and with a defined destination: Medical discharge, hospitalization, surgical intervention or in conditions of transfer to another hospital.
